101 years of Russian Civil Aviation!
A bit of history:
The holiday is the Day of the Civil Aviation Worker, established by Decree No. 98 of the President of the Russian Federation V. V. Putin dated February 9, 2013. It was timed to coincide with the date of the appearance of the air fleet (February 9, 1923).

On February 9, all Russian civil aviation workers - pilots, flight attendants, technical workers - celebrate their professional holiday.

It was on this day in 1923 that the "Council of Labor and Defense of the RSFSR@ adopted a resolution "On the assignment of technical supervision of air lines to the Main Directorate of the Air Fleet and on the organization of the "Council for Civil Aviation".

An air fleet has appeared in the country, transporting passengers traveling on official or personal business, mail and various kinds of cargo.

The first route that air passengers could take was the Moscow — Nizhny Novgorod air line of "DOBROLET" Airlines, with a length of 420 kilometers.

Today our Aviation celebrates its 101st anniversary.

Happy holidays!
